Did you know that the Early Bird Registration Deadline for camper registration is MAY 1st…..THAT’SONLY 64 DAYS AWAY!!!!
There are Summer Programs at Camp Christian for Children and Youth from Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as Advance Conference for Young Adults. There are also two Disciples Fellowship Retreats which are open to all ages.

Late this past fall a big project began to help fix the drainage problem around the gym and around the cabin clusters on that same side of camp. The project was completed and now things are draining around those buildings the way they should be. This was a very necessary step that was taken in order to keep those buildings safe and in good working condition.
BUT…camp could REALLY use more gravel. If you are interested in giving to help meet this need, please contact Ted Nelson, Camp Christian CampSite Manager. His contact information can found on the regional website at http://www.ccinoh.com
Dear Friends, The Camp Christian Summer 2020 Camp and Conference registration forms and information are now available through the Regional website. They are all available for download in one place on the Summer Forms, Downloads, and Links page. They can all also be accessed through each of the Ministry’s web pages and on each of the corresponding dates on the Regional Calendar. Please feel free to post and share this information with as many people as possible.
We also want to be sure to bring to your attention the option to make payments towards the registration fees. More information about this can be found on the Payment Plan PDF linked here and also on each of the program pages on the website.
Each Ohio Disciples Congregation will also receive a packet of hard copies of the forms and information in the mail over the next week or so. I just wanted to be sure you knew where to access them online in the meantime. We are looking forward to having another wonderful Summer at Camp Christian!!
This past weekend, not only did Advance Conference have their annual Winter Retreat at camp, but the first Work Day of the New Year year took place as well. With only a handful of volunteers a lot was accomplished in just one day. A big THANK YOU to those who gave their time this past Sunday, to help begin the clean up projects at camp. The next work day is scheduled for Saturday, February 8th.
Over the years, the #GivingTuesday movement has helped the Christian Church in Ohio, Camp Christian, and thousands of other worthy organizations raise funds for their programs, ministries, and missions.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, the CCC is feeling
grateful for all the many things that have happened at camp over the past few
months. Here’s a recap of some of those things that we would like to share with
you.
There have been several workshops held. Workshops for Interim Minsters, preaching workshops for lay leadership, and a workshop led by the Faith and Giving Ministry.
There was a Silent Retreat, and a Men’s retreat.
There was a Chi
Rho Rally that had 33 kids attend and they collected over 300 towels for the
free store.
CYF Leadership Training for the youth who will serve as CYF Conference Leaders
for Summer 2020, State Officers for the CYF Winter Retreat, and as members of
the Regional Youth Council. With the curriculum focus on
servant-leadership, they also volunteered their time to sort and fold clothes
for the Free Store.
The Regional Church Council
met. The Camp Christian Committee met. The Free Store has been doing its
ministry regularly and Camp has had a great deal of maintenance and repairs
taken care of on its long list of things that need done.
We still have a lot of work to
do towards the future of Camp, but there is movement. And that is something we
are truly grateful for.
Thank you to ALL who give
their time, talents, and money to help support Camp Christian in the ways you
do. We are grateful for each and every one of you.
In grace and peace,
The Camp Christian Committee.

Over the past week the old Waste Water Treatment project was finished. Power was successfully restored to the utility buildings and our Camp Christian sign out by the main road. Next week some work on the west side of camp will be done. AND….sometime in the near future we will be looking for VOLUNTEERS to help clean up the east side of camp. More information will come out as soon as we have a few more details in place. It’s been a good week at camp and we are grateful that things are getting accomplished.
Now that the power has been restored the sign is lit up again!
