As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, the CCC is feeling grateful for all the many things that have happened at camp over the past few months. Here’s a recap of some of those things that we would like to share with you.
There have been several workshops held. Workshops for Interim Minsters, preaching workshops for lay leadership, and a workshop led by the Faith and Giving Ministry.
There was a Silent Retreat, and a Men’s retreat.
There was a Chi Rho Rally that had 33 kids attend and they collected over 300 towels for the free store.
CYF Leadership Training for the youth who will serve as CYF Conference Leaders for Summer 2020, State Officers for the CYF Winter Retreat, and as members of the Regional Youth Council. With the curriculum focus on servant-leadership, they also volunteered their time to sort and fold clothes for the Free Store.
The Regional Church Council met. The Camp Christian Committee met. The Free Store has been doing its ministry regularly and Camp has had a great deal of maintenance and repairs taken care of on its long list of things that need done.
We still have a lot of work to do towards the future of Camp, but there is movement. And that is something we are truly grateful for.
Thank you to ALL who give their time, talents, and money to help support Camp Christian in the ways you do. We are grateful for each and every one of you.
In grace and peace,
The Camp Christian Committee.
